By-Laws
provide for the regulation and maintenance of the good working order of
the Association and should be adhered to in all Association business.
They must
be consistent with the Letters Patent and the requirements of the
Corporations Act of Ontario.
They
contain rules that cannot be changed without prior notice, are known to
the membership and are reviewed and amended as required to reflect the
current needs of the Association.
By-Laws
address such issues as what area the Association serves, who makes up the
membership, how members come together to meet and vote, how the Board gets
elected and what constitutes its responsibilities, how Committees operate,
etc.
The
By-Laws of Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley are
attached to this section.
