POLICY:

The Association is committed to actively cooperating with educational institutions and will welcome students on field placements as part of their course of study.

PROCEDURES:

1. Management staff will arrange a personal interview to check for suitability, research references and look for a possible placement.
2. During the personal interview the prospective student will be informed of the requirement for a criminal reference check.
3. Prior to commencing any duties, the student will be given an orientation to their duties. 
4. Students on placement will be accountable to a specific Coordinator who will liaise with the appropriate representative from the education institution.
5. The Association will reimburse students for authorized travel expenses as per Human Resource Policy 3-10 "Travel and Expense Claims".
