Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley Will Welcome Chris Beesley, CEO of Community Living Ontario, As Keynote Speaker

It has already been a busy year for Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley (CLUOV) in celebrating 60 years in the community. For their Annual General Meeting this year, they will welcome the CEO of Community Living Ontario, Chris Beesley, as their keynote speaker.

Chris Beesley began his role as Chief Executive Officer and Board Secretary of Community Living Ontario in June of 2013. His commitment to the Community Living movement began in 1994 with the birth of his son, Mitchell, who was born with an intellectual disability.

As CEO, Chris works with families, people with  intellectual disabilities, the provincial and federal governments, local Community Living associations, other provincial disability organizations, and the Canadian Association for Community Living to develop strategies that will help make Ontario a better place to live for people who have intellectual disabilities and their families. Get information from the CEO of Ontario’s Community Living agencies.

Chris served on various committees with Community Living Toronto, his local association, and served on their Board for nine years. Before coming to Community Living Ontario, he was the Executive Director of an adult literacy network organization serving Toronto and York Regions, and he is currently on the board of Community Literacy of Ontario.
