Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley (CLUOV) supports local adults with intellectual disabilities by providing assistance with employment opportunities, housing (including independent living), respite care and personal support with day-to-day activities. The people we support are between the ages of 18 and 70.
We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our team.
About The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Supervisor to join our team. This position involves leading and directing a team of staff providing individualized supports and services to individuals who have intellectual disabilities, and actively participating in a progressive management team responsible for the overall operation of Community Living Upper Ottawa Valley. You would be responsible to utilize and foster Personal Outcome Measures and to assist your team in the development of core competencies.
Qualifications
- Completion of relevant degree or diploma in social service or human service sector, preferably relating to people with disabilities
- Minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated effective supervision in a human service agency preferably in a unionized environment
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational and operational skills
- Staff scheduling experience including the use of scheduling software
- Finance and budget management experience
- Strong familiarity with quality assurance measures and personal outcome measures
- Excellent oral, written and analytical skills
- Proficiency in French and English preferred
- Commitment to individualized approaches to service delivery and accountability
- Commitment to Community Living’s goal and vision
- Strong computer skills and experience with scheduling software
- Experience with core competencies
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to work flexible shift hours including weekends and evenings
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
